Subjective Expectations and Reality: What Have We Learned and What's Next?
A conference on how households, firms and investors form and revise subjective expectations, and on what those beliefs do to inflation dynamics and to the design, communication and transmission of monetary and fiscal policy. Theoretical, empirical and experimental work, with a stated preference for research linking measured expectations to observed behaviour. Run by the European Expectations Center at ESMT Berlin with CEPR, bringing together academia, central banks and policy institutions.
